Founded in 1909, Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is an integrated Anglican day and boarding school for girls in Years 9-13, with a roll of approximately 670 students. Senior Chef de Partie

NON-TEACHING STAFF VACANCY

MR GOODFELLOW CATERING

We are looking for an experienced and energetic Senior Chef to join our Catering team. Our catering team caters for 130 boarders, various school functions and external events. We have an onsite food truck which provides espresso daily and is used for off-site weddings, corporate functions which is operated under our separate catering brand, MR GOODFELLOW. We make ALMOST everything in our kitchen from scratch, no MAGGI bouillons here!

Reporting to the Catering Manager and working directly under the Sous Chef, the successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
● You are a focused and powerful team player

● A get stuff done, enthusiastic attitude is essential
● Outstanding time and staff management
● Creative and open minded
● Exceptional technical cooking skills
● A minimum of 4 years in a similar role
● A real desire to further your career

Non-Teaching Staff Vacancy

We are looking for an energetic Kitchen Hand to join our Catering team. Our catering team caters for 130 boarders, various school functions and external events. ● Full NZ Driver’s license

The role is approximately 15-25 hours per week and predominantly term time, with the requirement for some hours during term breaks for functions and events.

Boarding Homework/ Preparation Supervisor

Waikato Diocesan School is an integrated girls’ school with approximately 650 students. We have built an enviable reputation for outstanding academic, cultural and sporting performance and achievement.  We work hard to promote our values of Courage, Empathy, Integrity, Tolerance, Respect and Diligence, underpinned by the Christian faith.

We are looking for an energetic, caring person to work in the friendly family environment of our Boarding establishment. We need someone to supervise and assist our Years 9 and 10 students with homework and exam preparation.  This includes tutoring small groups of students, communicating with the Day School via House Parents or the Dean of Boarding. 

We need someone that will be a good role model for the students and actively support the special character of Waikato Diocesan School for Girls.  Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous. Relevant knowledge of specific subject areas and/ or an understanding of NZQA assessment process is required.

This is a fixed term contract until 30 November 2021. The position is 1.5 hours a day from 18:30 pm until 20:00 pm, Monday to Thursday inclusive. It is term time only.
