Founded in 1909, Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is an integrated Anglican day and boarding school for girls in Years 9-13, with a roll of approximately 670 students. We have a vacancy for a fixed term, full-time Religious Education Teacher to begin 14 July 2025 until 11 December 2025. An ability to teach Religious Education across all curriculum levels is essential, engaging students to a high level that encompasses the Special Character of the School.

The successful applicant will be a professional, capable and caring teacher who is supportive of the school’s special character. This role has a genuine occupational requirement for applicants to be a practicing Christian, in alignment with the school’s Christian ethos and values.

Cleaner (Casual)

Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is an integrated Anglican day and boarding school with approximately 690 students.  We are looking for a reliable and energetic person to join our cleaning team to provide a top quality cleaning service in our school.

Reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor, this role requires an honest and hardworking individual who takes pride in their work, ensuring the provision of a high quality cleaning service in the school at all times.  Therefore, a high level of attention to detail is essential. Previous experience working in a team of cleaners would be an advantage and you must also demonstrate a commitment to Health & Safety.

This is a casual position, therefore days and hours of work are on an ‘as and when required’ basis.  Hours may range from 1 to 8 hours per day and will be worked between 4.00pm - 10.00pm, Monday-Friday only. Flexibility is important as extra hours may be required to meet the needs of the role.

 You must be eligible to work in New Zealand and satisfactorily pass a New Zealand Police vetting.

Commi Chefs/Chef de Parties/Senior De Parties - Mr Goodfellow

We are looking for experienced and energetic Chefs of all levels to join our Catering team. Our catering team caters for 145 boarders, various school functions and external events. We have an onsite food truck which provides espresso daily and is used for off-site weddings, corporate functions which is operated under our separate catering brand, MR GOODFELLOW. We make ALMOST everything in our kitchen from scratch, no MAGGI bouillons here!

Reporting to the Catering Manager and working directly under the Head Chef, the successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • A get stuff done, enthusiastic attitude is essential

  • Outstanding time and staff management

  • Creative and open minded

  • Exceptional technical cooking skills

  • A minimum of 4 years in a similar role
