Founded in 1909, Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is an integrated Anglican day and boarding school for girls in Years 9-13, with a roll of approximately 670 students. The school is committed to personal excellence and strongly emphasises pastoral care. It has a record of outstanding academic success and high achievement in sports and the arts.

Staff at Dio must be supportive of the school’s Anglican special character and willing to support the extensive co-curricular programme actively. We are a Google school with a compulsory BYOD programme.

Senior History and/or Economics plus Junior Social Studies Teacher

Fixed Term, Part-time 0.4 – 0.6 FTTE

Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is an integrated Anglican day and boarding school located in Hamilton. The school is committed to personal excellence, with a strong emphasis on pastoral care. We have built an enviable reputation for outstanding academic, cultural and sporting performance and achievement.

We have a vacancy for a fixed-term, part-time (0.4 – 0.6 FTTE) Senior History and/or Economics plus Junior Socials Studies teacher, to join our supportive and collegial Social Science department. The successful applicant will be an innovative, professional, and caring educator who can teach senior Economics or History and junior Social Studies.

The successful applicant will embrace our commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning through professional collaboration, reflective practice, and high expectations for all students. They will also be supportive of the school’s Special Character.

Dance Teacher

Fixed Term, Part-time 0.35 FTTE

Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is an integrated Anglican day and boarding school located in Hamilton. The school is committed to personal excellence, with a strong emphasis on pastoral care. Our Arts Department is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dance Teacher to join our collaborative team. This is a part-time (0.35 FTTE) fixed-term position catering to students in Years 9–11.

We are looking for an innovative and professional educator who is passionate about technical excellence. For candidates seeking additional hours, there is an opportunity to teach junior Social Studies, which would increase the total capacity to 0.5 FTTE.
