Welcome to Waikato Diocesan School for Girls

I am absolutely delighted to welcome you to our school community.

Joining Waikato Diocesan means becoming part of a community where every girl is known, celebrated, and supported to grow into her very best self. We are proud of our history and the incredible young women who have walked these grounds before you and now it’s your turn.

We know that starting a new school can bring a mix of nerves and excitement, and that’s completely normal. There will be new faces, new routines, and lots to learn, but also incredible opportunities to make friends, explore your talents, and discover strengths you did not know you had. Our teachers, current students, and wider school community will be here to support you every step of the way, helping you feel at home from day one.

Along with this article, you will find an attachment which provides an overview of key school information. It includes helpful details about daily routines, uniform, and communication to support you and your family as you prepare for the year ahead. We encourage you to keep it handy as a useful guide during your transition into school life at Dio.

As you look ahead to 2026, know that we are excited to welcome you into our vibrant school, remember that you are part of a community that believes in you and your potential.

We cannot wait to meet you in the new year, to celebrate your achievements, and support you as you grow, explore, and shine.

From all of us here, we hope you and your family have had a safe and joyful holiday season.

With warmest wishes,

Angee Robertson
