Tuesday, 27 January:

Year 9 students with parents arrive in full school uniform for a welcome and afternoon tea by 3.00 pm. Please enter via Gate 1 or Gate 2 on River Road, leave baggage in vehicles and enter boarding via Bishops Hall or go straight to Selwyn Dining Room. NB: Dinner for Year 9 students and student leaders will be at 6pm. (Year 9 parents will depart boarding before by 5.30pm). Year 13 boarding prefects attending prefect training return from 6pm.
Wednesday, 28 January:

Year 9 Orientation – the first day of school. Meet in the Chapel at 8.30am in full school summer uniform.

Year 13 Camp departs at 12pm

Year 10 to 12 boarders return from 5pm. NB: The dining room will only be open for Year 9 students.
NB: Packed lunches for Year 9 boarders to be made at breakfast.
Thursday, 29 January:

Year 10-12 first day of school. Meet in the Chapel at 8.30 am. P2 Year 10-12 teaching and learning programmes start.

Year 13 return from camp late

Friday 30 January 5pm to Sunday 1 February 5pm. NEW BOARDERS AND BOARDING MENTORS ONLY BOARDING ‘In-Weekend’ to Rainbows End, AUCKLAND (see article and Consent to Go communication for details). Only boarders starting in 2026 and their mentors are to attend. All other boarders are expected to go home for the weekend.
NB: The dining room is only open for new boarders, staff and their boarding mentors for Sunday dinner.
Week 2 (Boarding van transportation starts this week)

Sunday, 1 February: ALL boarders are back in boarding (between 5-7.00 pm). NB: Dining room open only for those students that attended the Boarding Mentors and New Boarders Weekend.

Monday, 2 February: WHOLE SCHOOL RETURNS for POOWHIRI 8.30am in Chapel

Thursday 5 February to Sunday 8 February: WAITANGI BOARDING EXEAT WEEKEND: the boarding houses will be closed at 5.00 pm for the long weekend. NB: All students are expected to return between 5 and 7.00 pm on Sunday 8, February, to prepare well for the first ‘regular’ week. This includes all senior students.

Friday 13 February to Saturday 14 February. BOARDING ‘In-Weekend’ to Skyline Skyrides, ROTORUA (see article and Consent to Go communication for details). Students can apply for leave from 5.30 pm Saturday.
