Dean of Boarding

We are seeking an energetic and caring person to work in the friendly family environment of our boarding establishment. Nurturing our girls and helping them reach their full potential is the key focus of this role.

Reporting to the Deputy Principal – Wellbeing, the Dean will be responsible for leadership of the Boarding team and facilitating positive links with the day school. The key responsibilities for this position include ensuring students are cared for physically, emotionally and spiritually, providing them with a boarding experience that is positive and conducive to their learning and development. This ensures that the boarding house operates effectively, preparing confident, resourceful and resilient young women. 

The successful applicant may also be required to teach allocated classes in the day school (please state teaching subjects on application). A current NZ teacher's practising certificate is a requirement.

Commitment to the school's special character is essential.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills with the ability to foster positive, harmonious relationships with girls and their families. Previous experience in a school or boarding facility would be highly desirable. 

On-site accommodation may be provided. 

This position will commence at the start of term 1, 2018.
