Head of Learning Support

Commencing Term 1 2018
1 MU + 1 MMA

We seek a skilled and empathetic teacher to lead our Learning Support programme to assist identified students across the curriculum within the classroom context. Proven experience in working with students with specific learning needs is essential, along with an understanding of how to effectively differentiate a learning programme.

Reporting to the Deputy Principal - Priority Learners, the role includes:

  • Identifying the specific learning needs of students
  • Designing and supporting IEPs for identified students within the curriculum
  • Delivering Learning Support programmes for students with special needs
  • Co-ordinating Special Assessment conditions for internal and external exams
  • Maintaining and reporting accurate achievement data
  • Liaising with classroom teachers, curriculum leaders, teacher aides and parents/caregivers
  • Providing professional learning support for staff,where appropriate.

HOD PE & Health

Fulltime LTR for 2018
(Maternity Leave cover)

A dynamic Leader of Learning is required to lead our PE and Health Department in 2018. The preferred candidate will also be able to teach Sport and Exercise Science to senior levels.

The ability to oversee the Outdoor Education programme (school camps) would be an advantage, with extra time allowance and remuneration for these responsibilities.

Commitment to the school's extracurricular sports programme is expected.

The successful applicant will be a professional, capable and caring teacher who is supportive of the school's special character.
