Permanent, Part-time

The Waikato Itinerant Music Scheme provides students with high quality tuition within schools across the Waikato. The scheme is administered by Waikato Diocesan School for Girls.

The key responsibility of the ITM Coordinator is to administer and coordinate all aspects of this scheme to enable students in participating schools to develop to their full potential.  This includes the management of a team of itinerant music teachers.

Key attributes needed for this role include initiative, strong communication skills and a high level of organisational skills. The ability to form positive learning relationships with students, staff and wider school communities is essential.

The successful applicant must have relevant experience in, or a passion for music. Current New Zealand teacher registration is also essential, along with a driver’s licence, as travel throughout the Waikato region is an aspect of the role.

This is a 0.4 position. However, flexibility is essential to meet the fluctuating requirements of the role.

Applications for this position close on Wednesday 10 October.
