Property Manager

The school operates from a beautifully presented 5-hectare campus with outstanding educational facilities. We are looking for an exceptional manager who is a flexible ‘hands on’ leader and a commercially savvy problem solver. Key responsibilities include the management of property services and maintenance, leadership of the property team, project management, health and safety, and involvement in the hiring of school facilities.

Key attributes sought for this position include:

  • Previous experience in a similar management role, ideally with project and financial management responsibilities;
  • Experience in strategic and operational planning;
  • A proven ability to effectively lead and develop a team;
  • Innovative problem solving and strategic thinking, with initiative and willingness to take a 'hands on' approach as required;
  • High quality communication skills;
  • High quality organisational skills, attention to detail and the delivery of quality support and advice;
  • Knowledge or relevant legislation, including Health and Safety, Resource Management and the Building Act;
  • An empathy for the Anglican special character of the school;
  • IT expertise is highly desirable.

Assistant House Parent

We are looking for an energetic and caring Assistant House Parent to work in the friendly, family environment of our Boarding establishment.  

Nurturing our girls and helping them to reach their full potential is the key focus of this role. Reporting to the Dean of Boarding, the Assistant House Parent is also required to provide support to staff and students, and facilitate day to day activities in the Boarding House, ensuring the boarding experience is positive and fulfilling for students and their families. 

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills with the ability to foster positive, harmonious relationships with girls and families. Previous experience in a school or boarding facility would be highly desirable.

This is a 42 week per year position, with approximately 35 hours per week, plus rostered overnight shifts and weekends. On-site accommodation may be provided with this position.

We are looking for a person with experience and expertise to develop and maintain our school gardens.

We require a Gardener who has the experience, ability and passion to appreciate the high standard required for our special and unique gardens.

Reporting to the Property Manager and functioning as part of the Property Team, the key focus for this full-time role is to maintain our gardens for a yearly calendar of events, as well as creating and maintaining gardens that provide a pleasant and supportive workplace atmosphere all year round.

As the role requires some lifting and physical work, the applicant will need to be physically fit and be happy working outdoors.  We are looking for a team player who will be willing to assist the wider property team in supporting events and functions around the school from time to time.

Previous relevant experience is essential. The successful candidate must have excellent planning, time management and communication skills.
