The school has an enviable reputation for outstanding academic, cultural and sporting performance and achievement. Our sports teams and sportswomen have become national champions as well as represented New Zealand.

Reporting to the Principal, this is a senior non-teaching management role and will be responsible for planning and coordinating the effective promotion, management and administration of all sporting activities within the school. It will require clear and directional leadership in the formulation and implementation of strategies for sport in the school, with a primary focus on achievement and involvement within a special character Anglican environment.

Key attributes sought include proven experience in leading and managing sports activities within a secondary school environment, covering planning, organising and administration. It is essential that you have a passion for sport and the ability to identify and foster elite sporting talent across a range of codes, as well as being able to facilitate optimal levels of participation for non-competitive teams and individuals. You must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, other staff, coaches, managers and parents. Problem solving, initiative, attention to detail and multi-tasking will be requirements of the role.

This is a very busy 'hands on' and challenging role and, because of the nature of all-year-round sport, there will be a requirement to work outside of normal working hours. The role will appeal to an experienced and high-achieving sports-oriented manager wanting to further develop a school with high quality facilities and a strong national and international sporting reputation.

Applications close on Friday 25 August 2017.
