Dio awarded WSS Swimming Champions for 2015

At the recent Waikato Secondary Schools Swimming Champs Dio was awarded Girls Champions for 2015 after some outstanding results by our swimmers. Congratulations to all who competed but in particular we would like to acknowledge the following swimmers:

Sarah Jeffcoat - 3rd in the Girls 13 and Under 50 Meter Butterfly

Grace Soo Choon - 1st in the Girls 14-15 50 and 100 Meter Butterfly and 200 Meter Individual Medley

Madison Chapman - 2nd in the Girls 13 & Under 50 Metre Breaststroke and Freestyle and 1st in the 100 metre Freestyle.

Jessica Chapman - 1st in the Girls 14-15 100 Metre Individual Medley and 50 Metre and 100 Metre Breaststroke. Jessica broke both the records held for Breaststroke!

Sophie Lewis - 2nd in the Girls 14-15 50 and 100 Metre Freestyle

Sarah Miller - 1st in the Girls 13 and Under 100 Metre Backstroke, 200 Metre Individual Medley and 1st in a record breaking swim in the 200 Metre Freestyle.

Olivia Fellows-Ford - 1st in the Girls 13 and Under 100 Metre Individual Medley.

Our relay teams also excelled. In the 14 and Under Freestyle Relay the Dio team which consisted of Katie White, Sarah Miller, Madison Chapman and Sophie Lewis came 1st and broke the record set in 2014.

The 15 and Over Medley Relay team of Hayley Miller, Jessica Chapman, Stevie MacDonald and Sarah Jeffcoat came 3rd.

And our Under 14 Medley Relay team of Sarah Miller, Madison Chapman, Grace Soo Choon and Sophie Lewis came 1st.
