Great Results at Central Zone Athletics

Last Tuesday a group of our girls headed out to compete in the Central Zone Athletics for 2017. All those who finished in the top 6 of their event have now qualified for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Champs in a few weeks. Well done to all who competed on their terrific effort and we would particularly like to acknowledge those that placed in the top three of their event.

Junior girls - 
  • Lucy Vellenoweth won the 200m and Shot Put and came 2nd in the 300m and Long Jump 
  • Lucy Scaramuzza placed 2nd in the 200m and 3rd in the 800m and Triple Jump
  • Scarlett Davies placed 3rd in the 70m Hurdles
  • Lydia Ryan placed 2nd in the High Jump
Intermediate girls - 
  • Ele Barton won the 800m and came 2nd in the 1500m
  • Emma Barton came 3rd in the 1500m and 2nd in the 3000m
  • Arden Mason placed 2nd in the Discus and 3rd in the Shotput
  • Alice Wilkinson placed 3rd in the Javelin
Senior girls - 
  • Grace Ritchie won both the 1500m and 3000m
  • Annabelle Cadogan placed 2nd in the 400m and the 800m
  • Cara Wynne placed 2nd in the 100m Hurdles
