DEBATING Debating is a very useful skill, whether you intend to go on to tertiary study as a teacher or lawyer, or into a job where negotiating skills are required. You gain skills such as developing an argument, thinking on your feet, research, teamwork, public speaking, extended use of language and playing to an audience. There is an expectation to keep up-to-date with current events and relevant social issues. The top senior team will compete in the Auckland Dio Exchange. Other opportunities to compete in other competitions may come available during the year.
