The award-winning Espresso Chorus is a group of 30 plus singers, is this year directed by Jane Martin who has a great history with Barbershop singing.  Waikato Diocesan School has a great reputation, regularly placing in the National Young Singers in Harmony competition. The group prepares a show package of two songs (fully costumed and choreographed) for the regional competition and then, if placed, they head to nationals.  The location of the 2020 Nationals is in Auckland this year.

The group sings a four part a cappella harmony so if you sing very high or very low there is a place for you!  The group will also be involved in school performances and will be expected to attend workshops when required.

There is also the opportunity for students to be involved in barbershop quartets. At least 3 members of the quartet must be in the Barbershop Chorus.
