ORCHESTRA       

The Orchestra rehearses after school on early-finish Wednesdays and focuses on fun and good times with some good quality music making. 

Girls must have a high level of commitment and dedication to their music groups in order to be successful.  We will be looking for players of every instrument of a reasonable standard.

The Orchestra will perform in school assemblies throughout the year and there are opportunities to perform at other school functions and activities such as the Dio Showcase.  

We will work towards competing in the Rhapsody in Rotorua competition in July and the Waikato Band and Orchestra Festival in August. 

Terms: 1, 2, 3 & 4

Practice times: Wednesday 2.30 to 4.00 pm

Competitions:         Rhapsody in Rotorua, Waikato Band & Orchestra Festival

Cost:                     Competition entry fees and travel costs, purchase of Instrumental Performance shirt (approx. $50)
For information only, In 2018 the cost for Rhapsody was approx $250 and the cost of the Waikato Band and Orchestra Festival was approx $15
