Debating is a very useful skill, whether you intend to go on to tertiary study as a teacher or lawyer, or into a job where negotiating skills are required.  You gain skills such as developing an argument, thinking on your feet, research, teamwork, public speaking, extended use of language and playing to an audience.

Junior Debating:
The junior debating teams get together once a week and are required to do their own research and planning. The girls are mentored by the debating captain for the year and the top junior team will compete in the Auckland Dio Exchange.
