NOTE ABOUT CASTING

The creative team has made the decision to split some of the roles into singing and acting in order to give more students an opportunity to perform. If a character has the word SING beside it, you will be allocated the singing part of the character. If the character has the word ACT beside it, you will be playing the onstage character with all the dialogue and none of the singing (except when it is necessary). The following characters have been split into singing and acting: La Cieneiga, Nautica, Bridget and Twig.

There are two ensembles - a cheer ensemble and a general ensemble. The cheer ensemble will mostly be performing the cheer routines. The general ensemble will dance, sing and at some points also be part of a cheerleading routine.

If you are a named character, please also include your postal address in your email so a script can be sent to you (if you are not at your normal residence over summer, please include your summer address).

In addition to learning words, we would love for you to listen to the soundtrack as much as possible before the first rehearsal on Tuesday 2 February 2021 so you are familiar with the syncopated rhythms.
