To Infinity and Beyond!

posted 4 Mar 2018, 18:03 by Debbie Stevens

In today’s ever-advancing world, we are living at the speed of science and it is so important that our children learn and master critical transportable skills to successfully navigate the fast-changing workforce shaped by automation, globalisation and collaboration.

I am very pleased to announce that Waikato Diocesan School for Girls' students can be at the forefront of this exciting era as our school is participating in the CASE Space School International Study Program. Your daughter will have the opportunity to take part in this immersive Science/Technology/Engineering/Arts/Maths (STEAM) expedition to NASA in the USA in 2018.

At the camp, Students will be immersed in earth science activities and explore the multi-facets of STEAM. Students will also learn and engage in an inspiring personal and leadership development program to truly empower them for these changing times.

Junior Space School is astronaut training for youth and is an engaging, hands-on adventure. Students learn about space travel, the development of space-related technologies and are led through several simulated missions. This programme is focused on providing relevance to, and inspiring passion for STEAM through exposure to space and broader ‘earth’ science exploration. Every step of the way they are guided to build skills in goal setting, project planning, critical-thinking and problem-solving.

Senior Space School is the MBA for Youth. With greater programme depth, students have incredible access to NASA. They visit areas not accessible to the public and engage directly with NASA experts to design and plan their own space mission within a given budget. This is an immersive programme that hones individual leadership, project management, resource allocation, crisis management and teamwork skills. Students learn from NASA experts and other leading organisations to foster new levels of collaboration and teamwork.

Students return with big dreams and lasting confidence, inspired by the ultimate STEAM experience at NASA. Today they have an opportunity to get ahead and be equipped with deep practical skills that will inspire them to meet future challenges. Please register to attend the Information Evening on:
