It’s official. All students and staff will return to school at Alert Level 2. We’ve missed you all and look forward to having our Dio family back together.

Yesterday, the Prime Minister advised that in Alert Level 2 schools are safe environments for young people and staff and that additional public health control measures are in place to prevent the spread of disease and to support contact tracing.

The key Public Health approach at Level 2 is to minimise the risk that someone gets infected in the first place, and second to ensure we can identify and contact anyone who has been in close contact with a person, if someone in our school is infected.

The Ministry of Health requires schools to have accurate records on how EVERY student travels to/from school. This is for COVID-19 contact tracing purposes. Please complete THIS SURVEY for EACH daughter you have at WDSG no later than 5.00pm Wednesday 13 May. Thank you to all those who have already completed and submitted this information.

We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back to school and for many, their home-away-from-home. There is a lot of important information to share with you and we have included some answers to the more common questions we’ve received. This information is based on the Ministries of Health and Education guidelines for schools. We will share more information as this becomes available.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Waikato Diocesan School for Girls and each other.
