Moving to Alert Level 2

posted 11 Aug 2020, 03:54 by Debbie Stevens

Good evening Dio Whānau

The Ministry of Health has tonight confirmed New Zealand has recorded four new cases of Covid-19 community transmission.

As a precautionary measure, Auckland is entering into Alert Level 3 from midday tomorrow for three days. The rest of the country goes to Alert Level 2.

This announcement has come on the eve of the He Tai Ohinga Maro Kapa Haka Festival being held tomorrow (Wednesday) at Dio. Because of the Level 2 restrictions coming into affect tomorrow, we are working on a condensed version of the Festival which will conclude at midday. Social distancing, hand sanitiser stations, and contact tracing will be in place.

Because of this government announcement, we are still waiting on confirmation of the attendance of some of our visiting kura. Please check our school Facebook page for updates.

 2.

Stay safe everyone.
