Important End of Year Information for Dio Families

posted 29 Oct 2015, 18:43 by Debbie Stevens
Dear Families of the Waikato Diocesan School Community,

It’s hard to believe that senior examinations and end of year celebrations are already upon us. In
preparation for the weeks ahead, the following information has been prepared to ensure you are
familiar with the expectations and events that lead us through until the end of the year. Please take
time to read this fully and diary dates relevant to you and your family.

Uniform: It has come to our attention that students are not cleaning their blazers regularly. We ask
that you check the state of your daughter’s blazer and ensure it is dry cleaned mid-way through each
term and during each holiday break at the very least. We will also remind the students of this at school
and promote a blazer cleaning focus week in November. We expect all items of uniform to be clean and
in good repair for the end of the year celebrations.

Senior students sitting NCEA examinations or attending school for tutorials or meetings during exam
leave are required to wear full summer uniform and ensure they observe the school dress code
guidelines during this period.

Textbook Return: All issued textbooks and library books need to be returned either directly to the
library or to one of the book returns crates outside the Chapel no later than Tuesday 1 st December or
the replacement cost of the item will be charged to your account.

Yearbooks: Yearbook orders will be issued during the first week back at school in 2016. This will allow
the full printing of prize giving lists in the yearbook. Those students who have no returning siblings at
Dio will receive their copy in the post. If you DO NOT want your daughter to receive a Yearbook, you must complete the
slip in the upcoming DioNews and return it to Dio reception by the date indicated.
