French Exchange now open to all Year 12 students

We are very excited to be offering another exchange to France in 2018 for Year 12 students. Next year, we will be opening up this exchange to all Year 12 students, not only to students who are taking French as a subject at Dio. In doing this, we are following the lead of other New Zealand schools (Columba College, Dunedin and Christ College, Christchurch ) who also partner with Centre International de Valbonne and who offer this exchange primarily as a cultural experience rather than a language exchange. Whilst having a little French knowledge is an advantage, it is not essential as all the CIV students are fully bilingual and in some homes, English may be the first language. The focus of the exchange is, therefore, the cultural aspect and sharing of experiences. We hope to be able to offer up to four places but the final number will depend on the level of interest from CIV.

Completed forms must be returned to the Exchanges Coordinator, Claire Foot , or to the Exchanges box in Cherrington Reception by end of day, Monday 5 February 2018.
