Formal Online Learning to Commence 15 April

posted 23 Mar 2020, 15:00 by Debbie Stevens
Dear Dio Community

Maintaining normal routines and social contacts is important for the emotional wellbeing of students, staff and the wider school community. However, more importantly, our community needs this week to take stock, get necessary supplies, reach out and support their communities, and organise the care of loved ones and those who are most vulnerable.

As per our communication yesterday, we will NOT be commencing formal online learning this week. Instead, individual teachers will make contact with their classes with some study ideas, to clarify assessment deadlines, and set holiday homework as normal. We will officially commence online learning from Wednesday 15 April (after the school holidays). Subject teachers will be available to respond to student enquires this week, during normal school hours.

Our Deputy Principal - Leader of Learning, Mrs Julie Bain, will be sharing some useful information regarding online learning with you later today.

Please look after each other.

Blessings and aroha.

Mary Curran
