Early Closure on Tuesday 25 June

Dear Parents/Caregivers

Early Closure on Tuesday 25 June

We have been notified that the Executive of the Post Primary Teachers’ Association (PPTA) has directed its members to attend a paid union meeting on Tuesday 25 June at  1.30 pm.

All teachers who are members of the PPTA are required to attend this meeting to ratify the Terms of Settlement of the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement.

Unfortunately, we do not have enough teachers who are non-union members to cover all afternoon classes and students will, therefore, be released at 12.40 pm at the start of lunch break.

Some school buses will run at an earlier time (Go Bus services to Cambridge, Huntly, Ngaruawahia and Te Awamutu). All other buses will run at the usual time (as they also serve primary and intermediate schools).  However, students who need to remain at school after 12.40 pm may use the library, which will be supervised by staff. Please complete this Google Form should your daughter require supervision until 3.20pm.

Please note that all other industrial action (rostering home for Years 11 and 12) has now been cancelled.

We apologise for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.

Yours sincerely

Mary Curran

Principal
