COVID-19 Level 2

posted 13 Feb 2021, 23:29 by Debbie Stevens

The Prime Minister has announced that as of 11.59pm tonight, Auckland will move into Alert Level 3 for three days, and the rest of New Zealand will enter Level 2 for three days. This is after three new COVID-19 cases were reported in the community today.

A reminder that at Alert Level 2, all children and young people can go to school. The only exceptions are children or young people who are sick or have any COVID-19 symptoms, are in self-isolation, or have been asked to stay at home by health authorities while awaiting for the result of a test.

School buses will operate as usual. Masks are not mandatory on school buses but students can wear them if they wish.

We all need to play it safe and continue to take sensible health and safety precautions, however at Alert level 2, public health advice is that schools, early learning services and tertiary institutions are safe to open on-site to all learners and staff.

Parents and caregivers who come on-site for a period of time need to be noted in the visitor register at reception (not required for drop-offs and pick-ups).

Unfortunately, due to Level 2 restrictions, parents and whanau will not be able to attend the Student Leaders Commissioning Chapel Service tomorrow.

We'll share any other information impacting events/ gatherings tomorrow.

Keep safe.
