Dio Supports Blind Foundation Guide Dogs

At the end of last year, Dio students voted Blind Foundation Guide Dogs as our main charity focus for 2016.

Guide Dogs help people who are blind or have low vision get around safely, with greater speed and confidence. They mean freedom, independence, confidence and companionship. It costs many thousands of dollars to raise and train a guide dog and the Blind Foundation receive no government funding for this work.

Dio's fundraising effort kicked off with sausage sizzles at Athletic's Day and Swimming Sports. The annual Dio Cake Auction on Monday 29 February will also support this amazing charity.

The Red Puppy Appeal street collection is happening on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 April 2016, so please give generously.
