Dio Students Collect Top Prizes at NIWA Science Awards

The NIWA Waikato Regional Science Fair Awards were held at the University of Waikato on the 23 August.  
Dio had eight students representing us as finalists.
Congratulations to prize winners:
  • Michelle Tiang (Y12) First in Scientific Video AND First in Observational Drawing
  • Kate Seager (Y10) First in Scientific Wall Chart AND Highly Commended in Scientific Photography
  • Talia Nicol (Y10) Special Award for the exhibit with the best use of sociological methods 
  • Megan Spring (Y9) Third in Physical World Investigation
  • Danielle Gordon (Y9) Highly Commended in Living World Investigation
  • Daisy Bunting (Y10) Highly Commended in Scientific Video
  • Ruby Lewin (Y10) Highly Commended in Observational Drawing
  • Meixi Li (Y9) Highly Commended in Observational Drawing
