Our Dio Old Girls are taking it to the world with some outstanding performances at the the Bev May Women's Cycling Tour held recently. The premier Waikato cycling tour for women of all ages and ability takes place in and around Morrinsville. The Tour covers all aspects of road racing including a time trial, road race and a criterium. This year the tour ran over two days on the 8th & 9th February for A, B and U17 Grades and attracted 112 starters from Northland to Nelson. Amongst the starters were three remarkable Dio Old Girls, Pip Sutton (class of 2010) and Madison Farrant (class of 2013) in the A grade and Tiffiney Perry (class of 84) in the hand cycle.

After two days racing only two seconds separated 1st and 2nd place with Te Awamutu rider Emma Petersen heading off a strong challenge from Pip Sutton to take the A grade honours. Madison Farrant had a great tour to finish 3rd in the A grade, while Tiffiney Perry finished the Tour first of the hand cyclists.

Congratulations from all of us here at Dio!
