Five senior Dio students have made us proud with their selection into the New Zealand International Biology Olympiad (NZIBO) Tutorial Programme. They are: Kiri Crossland (year 12), Su A Kim (year 11), Chelsea Lin (year 11), Michelle Tiang (Year 11) and Nikita Lyons (year 12).

NZIBO fosters interest, participation, and excellence in biology. Annually more than 350 secondary school students from throughout New Zealand participate in this programme which runs over the Summer, from September to July in the following year.

An online Moodle classroom, hosted by the Faculty of Science & Engineering at the University of Waikato, provides electronic tutorials and access to NZIBO e-tutors for students participating in the tutorials.

The programme supports students to develop a greater depth of understanding of biology in general and the IBO syllabus in particular. The syllabus is set at university level and is academically challenging. Congratulations girls!
